Three scientific papers on the subject of "event safety and security" published.
This year, the BuK research group "Management and Organization in Public Security, Safety and Emergency Response" has produced three scientific papers which have now passed the academic quality control and could be published. Two of the articles were written as part of the DFG research project NORMALISE, which will end at the end of 2022.
"What counts, safety and security or hygiene? Suggestions on the reopening of major events under pandemic conditions in Germany" addresses the possible interdependencies of safety & security and hygiene measures at major events during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The article "COVID-19 Governance in the Event Sector: A German Case Study" focuses on the complex governance processes of major events under pandemic conditions.
The paper "Production of event security in Germany - empirical findings on perceptions of interorganisational collaboration between various security actors" is based on a master thesis at our institute. It examines the interorganizational collaboration of security production actors at large events.
Below are the bibliographic references of the articles. The article "COVID-19 Governance in the Event Sector: A German Case Study" is open access.
